Hi My interest in Ankerwyke stems from the fact that my G. Grandparents lived at No.3 Ankerwyke Cottages. Their names were John and Ellen Minns and he was a Gardener and she was a Housekeeper there. Their daughter, my father’s Aunt, lived there for many years and I can remember visiting her as a young child. I have some photos taken during the family visits there. I would be interested to hear from anyone that knows anything about the farm.

Thanks for these! It’s lovely to have a memento. I particularly like the ‘tree within a tree’ one – the secret world going on inside the trunk that no-one can get to, only glimpse. Like the spirit world. I wonder if people ever come and spend Samhain at the yew? I certainly would if I lived near enough!
