The final announcement is now in the Events Calendar.
Having decided that we are going to do the healing ceremony for London on 9 October, it’s now time to finalise what exactly we’re doing.
I think it’s a good idea to do the main part of the ceremony in Postman’s Park. That’s off Aldersgate street just north of St.Paul’s. The intention of that space and its central location make it ideal.
The usual time of 3pm seems good, because it’s fairly near high tide.
All we need to work out now is where to meet up initially and where to collect the Thames water. According to my map there are steps by Southwark Bridge. Does anyone know if that’s a suitable place?
Oh and a matter of aesthetics: does anyone have a large bowl or other container for the ritual that they don’t mind being filled with Thames water? It would be nice to not have to do ceremony around a plastic bucket…
Let’s make a decision on that as soon as we can. Then the next thing to do is to let everyone (especially the members who are not online) know what’s going on. Hopefully we should have a good turnout for this.
