  1. Hi Guys !

Samhain is once more on the horizon. ‘Youth’ has once more (very nicely) offered the use of his estate and grounds.
The arrangements are beginning and as always your presence is very welcome!

At this point it would be very help helpful MUCH if people can confirm, as soon as. It will help in the allocation of work ect.

Thanks and watch this section weekly as I will be publishing some ‘homework’ for you all to do before the ceremony. Hmm Hmm.

    Thanks Mark :-))

P.S – 1. Does anyone know who has the lanterns ?
    2. Will anyone be going to Glastonbury as I need some water from the red spring?

  3. Mark, will it be 3pm meeting time or otherwise on the 30th, and what’s the address (can’t remember Youth’s exact address) transport details, contact numbers etc? I ask because I’ve had a few new enquiries about the Grove lately and I’ll need to email them with all the details in advance! I can always send them a second update if you then want to say something else about homework. Thanks.

  4. This will *almost* clash with an ante-natal class (!) I have to attend on Sunday 30th, so whether or not I can make it depends on the location. If I can be there though I can bring my own lantern :-).

  5. Hi Mark,

sorry for trying to contact you this way, but I managed to lose your telephone number again. Yes, I would very much like to meet up with you and discuss Samhain – call me again, please, so we can arrange something.

As for Glastonbury: I have two days off next week, hopefully, and thought about going there for a day anyway – I will try my very best to bring some water – will let you know.

    See you soon

  6. Andrew – Youth’s house (unless he’s moved in the last year) is on the Wandsworth/Clapham borders, if that helps at all.
Petra – if you haven’t heard from Mark yet, look under the Contacts section of this website for London Grove members – his number is there under the comments.
Everyone – speaking of the contacts section, why not add your details to it too? It’s quite handy when you realise you’ve lost your address book. I promise that I haven’t had any hackers turning up on my doorstep as a result of being listed (yet).

  8. Andrew – and all.

Youth’s address has not moved I will publish map ect after this weekend comming.

However, time wise we are looking to carry out the Ritual from Dusk to Dark and the Talking Stick will be before to orientate us, so we are looking at earlier that 3:00 pm.

Any lantern answers yet we need at least 9 and Youth only has three.

    Thanks Mark.

  9. Ritual Update!

Homework – Can attendees begin to make representitive items from eco-combustable found objects e.g – twigs, wood, string representitive of that which you wish to let go of. The creative act of making such an item can not only be meditative but emotionaly and psychicly challenging to us. This would be due to the investment of time and energy we put into our items and make us fully aware of what we are letting go of and challenge our wish to do so or not.

Also can each person consider a small sentence or word which summarises this seasonal time to you. Your thoughts will be called upon in the circle if you wish to volunteer them during the ritual.

Thankyou all. Run along now you creative beings.

    Mark

  10. I have one lantern and can bring it. How much earlier than 3 are we likely to be meeting? I have a mare of a day and will need to dash from an ante-natal class in order to be there on time!

  11. Ritual update ……….

For times and directions please see events listing. Also we will be finishing about 8:00 pm as Youth has to put little munchkins to bed.

MORE Homework – We hope to have a bit of a celebration after the ritual. Why not bring a poem / song or music to share. It could be written by yourself or another. Could you also bring food of a red nature e.g melon, pumkin pie (it was lovely last year whoever brought it).

Youth informs me that some of his friends will join us so Petra and myself look foward to seeing you all then.

    Mark & Petra.

  12. Andrew – Yes your lantern would be very much appreciated but only if you were able to come I guess. I will try to get one anyway to make 4 with youths ones. I hope this free’s you up a little, it sounds a bust time :-)
