Thank you very much to Mark, Petra, Youth and everyone from me too. It was a wonderful ceremony: intense, moving and serious – I didn’t want to leave the circle at all – it felt so right to be there. It was a brilliant idea Mark to get us to spend time thinking and talking and meditating about what we were doing and why first, it built up the intensity and made us focus on the meaning and purpose of Samhain and, certainly for me (did anyone else feel this?) it made me feel closer and more involved with the group – we were trusting each other really quite a lot, and sharing some very personal and important things. I don’t feel confident enough to say I’ll lead a ritual yet, but when I do, yesterday will be an inspiration, something to aim for. Thanks and Samhain blessings to all.

Without contest my best ceremony with London Grove ever. Strong contender for best ceremony ever full stop.

A big thank you to Mark, Petra and Youth for organising today’s ceremony! Sorry to run off so soon, but I wanted to get back to Clare who is fine but appreciates a bit of pampering at the moment. If I had stayed behind I would have (hopefully) got around to reading a bit of Wordsworth at the Eisteddod – I guess you’ll have that pleasure another time :-). I had an amazing afternoon… as you could probably tell from me being the last out of the circle I was deep in contemplation. I have definitely committed to “letting go” of my offering – but now I have to work out how to do it in practise. Thank you again. The smell of woodsmoke is still on my clothes :-)).
