TDN Druid Camp

Filed under: Conversation — Andrew @ 4:51 pm

Howdy all -

I am seriously considering attending TDN‘s camp this summer:

…since Clare will be spending the week at her parent’s I don’t feel so bad about abandoning the clan for a few days.

Has anyone attended previously, and does anyone feel like it this year?

Cheers,

Andrew.

Pwyll and the Spirits of the Land

Filed under: Conversation — hilde @ 5:31 pm

While pondering what to do next in the way of workshops, I started reading the First Branch of the Mabinogi. I think Rhiannon noticed me, because what began as a gentle workshop turned into something else. I had some serious thoughts about the relationship between human and spirit and how it can help heal the Land. I decided to write a little article about it. I’m posting it here and would much appreciate your feedback – including improvements to the actual text.

Camper Vans

Filed under: Conversation — Andrew @ 11:19 pm

First off, thank you to Petra for organising the ritual at the weekend – it was a lovely spot. After the ceremony one of the topics we dicsussed was VW Camper vans… and I said I’d post some links about where to buy good second hand Type 2’s (the bay window variety of van that most of us think of when we think of camper vans, manufactired between 1969 and 1979). Some of these sites also include “Splitties” which were made between 1956 and 1969 I think. These are older, cuter, and invariably more expensive:

Dubs4sale
Planet Campers
The Samba
VW Camper Crazy
Cool Campers

If you’re feeling particularly flush you can buy a brand new Type 2 freshly imported from South America where the production lines only closed down for good a few months ago:

Beetles UK

And top top everything off, some services that might be of use once you’ve made your purchase:

Seatbelts
LPG Conversion

For those people interested in LPG conversion, here’s a site that tells you all about it.

And here’s a searchable databse of station locations, and here’s a site where an atlas locating all stations can be purchased.

Happy browsing!
