Lunar theme meeting at Hilde’s house. We’ll be meeting on the evening of a total eclipse of the Moon, hoping for clear weather.
The evening will roughly look as follows:
Arrive at 7pm, bring food to share for a pot luck dinner.
Session to start at around 8.30: sharing our experiences of the lunar cycle and what it means to us. This will move into meditation and later narrow down into the Full Moon and eclipses of the Moon.
At around 11pm we’ll go into the garden to experience the total eclipse, even if it is cloudy. It’s not because you can’t see it that it isn’t happening. So make sure you bring enough warm clothes: clear nights in March are still freezing cold.
People are welcome to stay the night afterwards. Please let me know in advance, so we can prepare a bed for you.
If you want to go home that evening and aren’t sure about public transport, let me know that, too and I can help you work it out.

Do you think given the potential celestial show late at night, 6pm is a good starting time?

Might be an idea to start a bit later since there are over five hours between 6p.m and the eclipse – say 7.30 ? But then again, some people may not want to stay late. Let’s have more views. (It is three months away of course)

Id love to come but I need to travel back the same day and I will probably not have a car by then.
Its a real pity.
By the way my driving test is on 28th February. Wish me luck (yickes).

Hi Mark,
I’ve been doing some planning, and I think the talking/meditation part of the evening will finish at about 10-10.30 pm. You are welcome to just come for that part and then leave. It means you will miss the actual eclipse, but it also means you can come to the event and get home as well. We’d love to see you.
