I'm sorry I've been a while getting back on here. I've been a bit ill, and been having a few problems of one tedious sort or another over the last week, but yes, as far as I'm concerned, let's put it as an official event. I will be happy to co-organise whatever is needed, and to do some work on yew trees (if any is needed, which it may not be, as you all may know lots already!).

Yes it was I who wrote the planning topic. And I'll talk to you about organisation for that meeting a bit closer to the time (probably by email). I suggest we meet at Wraysbury station at 3.30pm, or meet at your driver's house at 2.15pm, approx. As organisers, we may need to put non-drivers in touch with drivers with passenger space.

Are you OK if I put it up as an official event on 21st August?

When you click on the title of the post, you come to a page that *will* let you make a comment. And Daniel 'The Ever Useful' wrote it.

It's an unforeseen consequence of a decision Alex is telling me I made a long time ago about 'sticky' posts. That's the ones that stay at the top and don't get overtaken by more recent posts. It made sense for the Welcome paragraph, but not for this. I hope this clarifies things enough, though.

Do people think it needs changing?

Daniel made the post. I think it's displayed differently from a normal post because it's been made a 'sticky', to stay at the top of the page. If you click on the heading, you can then make comments (it looks like you've already worked this out so I'm just repeating it for anyone else's benefit!) That's a good point about the bank holiday, though the roads would probably be worst on Monday when people are coming back.
