Amelia is organising a canal boat trip on 3 July as our Summer social event (do please note the early meeting time!) If you want to come, please reply to this post by 23 June, so that we have an idea of numbers and Amelia can book some seats. It would be a shame if a lot of people turned up and found there was no more space in the boat!
This is the plan:
Meet at Perivale station at 12 noon, since the trip starts on that side of Horsenden Hill.
The boat leaves at 12.30 pm for a 1 hour 45 min trip. The trip costs £5.50
There is a bar on the boat and you can pre-book a ploughman’s lunch, with ham or cheese, which costs £4.50
So if you want to come, order your lunch at the same time.
I’m really looking forward to this one.
P.S. I have also posted this in the “Events” section to make our calendar complete and up to date
Daniel, it would be great if you could mention this to the members who are not online when you phone around to confirm the Summer Solstice (hopefully!) If that doesn’t materialise, let me know and I’ll phone round myself.
