We will come together in Queens Wood to create a Lughnasadh ritual from the gifts of the spirits of the time and the place.
Please prepare by meditating on the spirit of the time before you come. What does the time of Lughnasadh in general, and this Lughnasadh in particular, mean to you? The more work you put into this, the more you will be able to contribute to the ritual for the good of all. Cilla may also lead an introduction when we get there.
The ceremony will be held a week later than was previously announced. We will be gathering at 1pm at the Woodman pub in Highgate (outside if it’s fine, inside if it rains and the pub is open). See map
Go to Highgate on the Northern Line. Go out via the escalators onto Archway Road. When you come to the street, turn right. The pub is just a few paces away on the corner. Walk around the pub to find the entrance.
We will take a short walk from there to Queens Wood, where we will let the woodland spirits lead us to a suitable place.
Any takers for this?

I’m thinking about it…
I would like to try out something, see if it works. But I was going to talk to people about it at the Solstice. Would people mind if it was a week later, because I intend to go to Lughnasadh camp?

I think I’d prefer if it was later. Daniel’s birthday is on the 3rd, so there is a possibility we might want to go away for one of the weekends around that date.

Well, I don’t feel like the date needs to be upheld strictly. I think the week after (could be the Saturday if you prefer, too) would be OK.

If it’s a week later, pref the Sunday, I could help out too - I’ll be doing a short workshop on the theme of harvest and sacrifice at camp, so would be happy to do it with the seedgroup as well. I don’t want to do the whole thing, though. Hilde, would this work in with your idea?

Please let me know if you are coming, so we know who to wait for at the pub. If you have difficulties on the day, call my mobile: 07768 377 646. Can’t wait to see what happens…

Thanks to everyoe who prticipated in yesterday’s ritual, Hilde for her guidance and intuition, Becky for the chalice of the Goddess, Andrew’s manifestation of water (including the sparkling sort in the pub), Greg for his impressively Ent-like summoning of the God of the forest, Trui for yet again shimmering into view when he didn’t know where we were, Matt for the gift of the elderberries ( and tea, and anti-histamine cream), and last but not least Robbie for his irreverent interruptions and joy. I lost track of time, which is as it should be. And felt vastly reassured by the whole afternoon.
