Daniel spoke to Julie on the phone yesterday and she has decided we will do the ceremony at Oxleas Wood, meeting at the cafe at 2pm. The cafe is at the northern edge of Oxleas Meadows next to the car park. Allow 10–15 minutes to walk from Falconwood Station if you come by train.

We will need to start promptly due to the early sunset, so please phone Daniel’s mobile (07896 340608) if you are delayed on the day.

Please post here, or email Julie or Daniel, or phone Daniel on 020 8771 6941 to let us know if you are coming along.

Map of the area

Transport: Main line rail to Falconwood (on the Dartford via Bexleyheath line from Charing Cross, Waterloo East and London Bridge). Walk up Rochester Way (see the map) towards the junction with Welling Way, cross over Welling Way and continue straight on to a footpath into the park which follows the edge of a wooded area. Follow the path and keep straight, ignoring all paths to the left and right.

Access by car to the car park is from the A207 (Shooter’s Hill), turning where the sign points to Oxleas Wood (beware, this is easy to miss).

  1. MIDWINTER MEETING/CEREMONY
    comment
    Trui says:
At the CONWAY HALL PF Druidic Midsummer ceremony 22/6/06 met up with Liz Murray, to take part [Hilde was there also] King Athur Pendragon was in attendance, straight from Stonehenge/Avebury. Liz later offered to host our midwinter meeting/ceremony indoors if we like.
The ceremony was in many ways totally unlike any other that i’ve ever come across
She has also offered to be host when time comes to walk the CAPRICORN Sign, where her house at
76 Antrobus Road, Chiswick/Acton is oddly located right at the goats ass!. How’s about combining the two ? [if the weather fair?]. What do you all say………………..
A fellow by the name of Antrobus was once the owner of the land where Stonehenge sited.

  4. Thank you for sorting that out, Daniel. I have copied the text of your comment into the main body of the Winter Solstice event, so people can’t miss it.

  5. Dear Seedgroup,

I won’t be at the Solstice Ceremony because I’m going to the Assembly and am almost certainly staying in Glastonbury til the Monday. Hope it goes well.

    All blessings ,

    Liz

  6. Hi Folks,

I am trying to come to the Solstice, and I will probably bring Steffi along (she was at the Samhain ceremony, too). However, be warned - so far, I have not been able to do one single Winter Solstice ceremony, as the traffic has always been against. This year, it is even worse as I will be coming all the way from Berkshire ;-((

So if I am stuck again, I will give you a call. Otherwise, see you there on Sunday.
