Cilla is offering another opportunity for people to get creative and make their own cloak. If you missed last year’s event, this is your chance. This event will take place at Cilla’s house.

All future events subject to changes closer to the time.

  1. You’ll need lining as well as wool or velvet for the body of the cloak; lining is usually only 45cm wide so you’ll need more of that. But I’ll post yardage and Bernie the Bolt’s contact details later. You’ll also need thread for both lining and main material and dressmaking pins (which are longer and sharper than normal pins), if possible. If you have a fabric tape measure that will be useful, as measuring the seam allowance and getting the pattern parallel with the selvage (i.e. getting the hang right) is essential!

I have patterns and 3 (or perhaps 4) sewing machines so we will be much better set up this workshop than last time.
Anyone who wants to make something else (like a robe) will also be welcome, but we probably need to cap the numbers at 5 or at the most 6. It’s only a small house!
